Calling all beauty gurus.

There are a limited number of ways you can give yourself a pedicure, and they include curling up on the floor to paint your toes, or balancing your foot on the bathroom sink. Both require some real flexibility, coupled with a reckless attitude toward your bathroom tiles and bathroom towels (in case you knock over the open bottle of polish), not to mention your head and limbs should you slip and fall.

Certain products out there are such problem solvers that they make sense the second you look at them, and that's how I felt when I saw this pedicure stool, the fantastically named Stedi Pedi. It's a simple plastic kit that places your foot on an incline, so you can actually see and separate your toes more easily while you paint them. The other end of the platform can slide beneath a couch cushion or mattress to provide tension, keeping your foot lifted so you don't have to contort your torso.

Additionally, the product comes with a LED task light so you can get a better look at what you're painting, as well as a tray to collect fallen toenail clippings (a little gross to think about, but absolutely necessary). Little ledges are also built in to hold your nail polish bottle in place as you work. Also, the whole kit folds up easily so it can slide into your bathroom cabinet or wherever else you'd like to store it.

We're enjoying the Stedi Pedi for the pun name alone (it's very fun to say!), but there are other competitor pedicure stools out there on Amazon, like this one for just $15. Stedi Pedi also has a "pro" version, which includes a magnifier and drying fan, and it's only a few more dollars.

Any of the above would make an awesome addition to your self-care headquarters (that'd be the bathroom), or you could give it as a gift to the friend in your life who has 62 slightly used bottles of nail polish rattling around in a drawer. We all have one (or are one).
